To Die For Friday - Valentines Card #1 "I'm Bananas 4 U!" Circle Card

Welcome back to another To Die for Friday project. How was your week? Good I hope, I know mine was. But my weekend is going to be busy with hubby being gone but hopefully I can get a lot done. Kids have today and yesterday off so we did get some errands done which was nice. Now I just need to make a check list of all the things to get done this weekend. But I know your not here just to hear about my life or whats going on in it your here for today's project.

Today's card is all about the Lawn Fawn baby. I used all Lawn Fawn products (with the exception of the inks and copic markers) and just love how it turned out.
For the front panel I used Memento Cottage Ivy ink for the Vine and Rich Cocoa for the little monkey. I then took the letters from Harold's ABC's and stamped them along with the bananas in Color Box Banana ink (this is from The Stamps Of life). All the images I used are from Critters in the Jungle stamp set by Lawn Fawn. Once everything was stamps on to some copic quality paper I then masked off the images so i could air brush the background. This was my fist time using the Copic airbrush system (I got it on clearance at Michaels a while back) and even though you can't see it in the picture very well I used BG11. I love the way it looks nice a soft, it was also a lot of fun to use. I removed the mask and got to coloring the leaves, monkey and the bananas. For the leaves I used G03, for the body of the monkey I used E27 & E29. I also used a little E27 for some shading on his face the blended that out with E23. Just add a bit of R20 to his nose, cheeks, as well as his ears. For the bananas I just used Y08.
For the back panel I just took so light pink paper from my scraps and die cut it with the second to larges stitches die. I then took the banana and the Color Box Banana ink and did a bit of second and third generation stamping for a fun background. Once everything was dry (which didn't really take very long) I used Tombow to glue both layers together and then glued them to the card base.
For the inside I just stamped out the i <3 you and did a little selective stamping for the a bunch. I just stamps them Tuxedo Black ink then did a couple of forth generation stamping of the bananas on each side.

This was just so much fun. I love how cute this card is and that I got to try my hand at something new (and it worked out lol). I cant wait to continue using the airbrush can or my Valentines series. Thank you for joining me and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

What What Wednesday - My Stamp Pocket Storage

Its hump day and you know what that means. Yep it's time for another What What Wednesday post. Today's post and video is of my stamp storage. It only took 6-7 months, well I bought most of the stuff back in June but it really only took 1-2 months once I started move stamps over. I am so happy with it. I love having all my stamps in one place and being able to see them all at once too. I might now use more of my stamps as to before it was hard to remember what I had. Not to mention they look great on top of my cabinet lol. I still have to make dividers to help cover the stamps and protect them from the sun but it's not something I have to right away since I have my dies in the front.

Picture of the Sun coming through my craftroom window. This is why I keep my dies in front of my stamps.
Thanks for joining my and I hope you all have a wonderful day. See you back here on Friday for another post and video.

Cut It Out Monday - How to weld an image into a card base

Hello
How was everyone's weekend? Mine was pretty busy any yet I didn't  get everything done that I wanted. Today's project was a request from one of my Facebook followers. She asked how I made the Roller Skate invitations (click here for a link to that post) for my oldest. So I thought instead of just telling her I would do a video showing what I did. I hope that this helps you as well. Thanks for joining me and catch you in my next post.

To Die For Friday - Floating Balloon Birthday Card

Happy Friday.
I am so glad this week is over. I am looking forward to the three day weekend. Our new bed shows up on Monday and we get to go buy new sheets and comforter on Saturday as will as do a much needed grocery shop.

Anyways on to topic at hand. Today's card is the second to last birthday card for the month. I had so much fun making it. This card was also a great way to use up scraps of paper from the stash. I wanted kind of a rainbow color scheme.
For the background I used MFT Cloud background die and cut that out with blue and on some cream colored paper for the clouds (even though they look white here its a nice contrast to the white card base) and just glued down that background then the clouds.
Once that was done I took the smallest balloon in MFT Balloon Stacks and cut out three balloons. I glued the green one done flat and used foam dots for the red and yellow. I used some of the Lawn Fawn twine (it came with my last order so I dont know what the name of it is) for the strings on the balloons. For the back balloon I just glued it with some glossy accents. For the front two I made tiny bows and held those in place with glossy accents as well.
I then to a strip of some Purple paper (although the more i look at it and in this picture the more it looks like blue so we will call it Purblue) and heat embossed (when I started I thought it was white) the Happy Birthday sentiment from SSS Birthday Messages. I then used some glossy accents to hold the stings in place and some foam tape behind the sentiment leaving a small gap for the string.
Well that's it. Only one birthday card left in this month and then its on to Valentines projects. I have some many things going through my head for those. Thank you for joining me and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

What What Wednesday - Brother Scan N Cut 2 using images from The Greeting Farm Digital and Stamped

It's hump day and not only does that mean we are that much closer to the weekend but it also means its time for another What What Wednesday post.
I wanted to try out my new Brother Scan N Cut 2 machine and thought I would share it with you all. I love this machine it is going to make getting images cut out (if I don't have the dies) s easy to cut out. I wanted to see if I could cut out a digital and a stamped image at the same time so I took one of the digital images from The Greeting Farm as well as one of the stamps. I have to say they both cut out beautifully.

I did two different cuts, the first one I had the machine cut right on the line. Now this one does cut a little bit off but I figure once the image is colored and I cover the white edge with my black marker you wont ever notice. The second cut I gave the images a 0.20" border (I now know that it a bit to big but love it anyways). I used some copic quality paper (don't remember the name but you can find some at Michaels which is where I got it) and just printed it out using my canon printer. I do have to change the blade depth because this is thicker card stock at the setting I had it at it did not cut all the way though.

This is a closer look at the digital image in both cuts.

Here is the Stamped image. I think I need to re-ink my Memento Black ink too.

I love how this machine cuts out and I know I will be using it more in the future. Thanks for joining me and I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Cut it out Monday - Balloon Bouquet Card

Welcome to another Cut it out Monday post. I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was wonderful. Saturday my husband and kids made me breakfast in bed (he spelled out Happy Birthday with pancakes) then they took me to Benihana and then hubby braved Ikea so I could go look for a new chair for my craftroom (it was the only store I have not look at yet) and we even found a bed we both liked (which took care of our anniversary gift to each other). I then took my kids to go meet Rosanna Pansino on Sunday and they had a blast even with all the waiting around. Got lots of great pictures to and they got their cookbook signed (well we got a signed sticker to go inside it). I could not have asked for a better weekend well getting to the grocery store would have been great to and having hubby join us for the meet and greet.
So on to today's project. I wanted to continue with the birthday cards since i have a few more birthdays this month. In fact might just make this a year long series doing at least one card (on camera) a month. I really want to get birthday card out this year. This is a make it now card called Balloon Bouquet Card. I did have to get another balloon that was free since the one they use in the project is $0.99. This card is also a great way to use up some of your scraps. Once everything was cut out and ready to go I glued the back balloons with Tombow and used 2 different thickness of foam dots for just a small difference in height. I also used some foam strips for the Happy Birthday banner and then just add a bit of pressure to it where the foam strip was not to give it a bit more dimension. I then chose to just leave the balloons as is no strings.

I think this is just a fun card and had a lot of fun making it. On to the next. Thanks so much for joining me and have a great Monday.

To Die For Friday - Birthday Balloon Shape Shaker Card

Happy Friday
How was your first full week of the new year? For me it was fine but the weekend is what I am really looking forward to. Saturday is my birthday the big 34. Husband has big plans and it is kinda of nice not know what is going to be happening. Then on Sunday I am taking the girls to go get their Nerdy Nummies cookbook signed by Rosanna Pansino (she has a channel on Youtube just click on here) they are so very excited to get to go meet her and so am I. So like i said week was fine but the weekend is going to be awesome.
For today's card I thought since it was my birthday this weekend I would make a fun Birthday card. I wanted to not only make a shape card but I also wanted to make a shaker card too. So why not put the two together which is why I made a Birthday Balloon Shape Shaker Card.

I used the balloon dies and the Happy Birthday die from Simon Says Stamp. I took some Doodlebug pattern paper from their 6x6 paper pad Sugar Shoppe. I took the two biggest dies from the balloon dies and die cut those out. I picked the cupcake pattern for the top and the confetti side for the background this was it gives more to the shaker and uses the extra pattern. I also die cut out the biggest balloon from acetate for the window then just trimmed it down so there would be no over hang just in case. I used score tape to hold that in place. I then took some foam stripes that I had (i think they are from Michaels) and lined it up along the inside. I put the inside pattern balloon down with score tape and then added my shaker bits. I used some sequence from Doodlebug (I think that where they are from I have had them a long time). I also added a few heart shape jewels in there as well. Removed the backing from the foam and lined everything up. I left it with just a white back that you can then add what ever you want to the back. I used so white scrap paper and colored it with my Florescence Dull Violet copic marker and then die but out the happy birthday. I just glued it down with a little tombow.

I think this card is so cute. There are a lot of birthdays this month and this is going to be one of the card I send out. Thanks so much for joining me and have a great weekend. I will see you back here Monday with a new Cut It Out Monday video.

What What Wednesday - Stamp Storage Pocket Review

Welcome to the first What What Wednesday blog post. Today I wanted to share my thoughts on the Stamps Storage Pockets. I am not using the Avery Elle pockets I decide to go with the Simon Says Stamp and MFT ones. Before I get into anything I do want to say that I am not apart of either company and no one has asked me to do this. Now I will say that I am loving my new stamp storage and will share that more with you once it is finished (hopefully this weekend) but today is just about the pockets. There are so many things to factor in when I talk about them so I wont be going into all that in this post but that is why I did a video. I will have links to everything below the video.
Thanks so much for joining me and if you would like to see a review on anything else i would be happy to do so as long as I have said product.

Cut It Out Monday - Thank You Card

Hello everyone. I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday season! I am so excited to being back in a crafting mood and getting videos up. I know this one is a little late going up today but I found out at 6:30 am (this is when my alarm starts going off and when I try to get myself up to get my kids ready for school) that there was not school today due to weather (it snowed most of yesterday and stuck around but has turned to ice today) so I slept in a bit longer. Then once up I tried to help my kids with their new video game so I could film a video (hoping it would be uninterrupted) and then of course I was have problems with todays simple card, go figure right.

Well I was able to get it done and I really like it. My kids wanted to send a thank you card to my son and his family for the wonderful finger puppets they sent them. So I let them pick the card and customize it. The card can be found in the Make It Now section in Design Space (under cards and just scroll all the way down) it is the one that you get to make when you first set up your Cricut Explore. My youngest wanted to change the background color from the teal to purple, she picked the shade of color from my card stock. After that is really is all the machine doing the work. I just used some Tombow to make sure everything laid down flat. A simple card to give to anyone (and using two of my favorite colors too). They both loved the way it turned out as well.

I also cut out a white insert so we can send them a message.

Thanks so much for joining me today.
Stay warm and Happy Crafting
