Cut it out Monday - Valentine Series #1 - Heart Shaped Box

Hello all and welcome to the very first project in this years Valentine Series. I am so happy to share some of the amazing ideas I came up with for this series and I hope it gives you some great inspiration.
For today's project I thought it would be fun to make something that could easily be mass produced and used for sending out Valentines at your kids school or even to friends and family. I just love how cute these are and how simple it was to put together. I just wish I had some candy to add to it lol. I plan to give one to each of my kids filled with something they will love.

Thank you so much for joining me. I know Valentine's Day is just around the corner and will sneak up on us. Have an amazing day and I will see you next time for #2 in my Valentine Series.

Cut it out Monday - My Best Friends Birthday Card

Good Morning all. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Hubby spent all day in Salem on Saturday coaching the kids and some of the adults from the gym. The kids and I just stayed home and we made homemade pizza and watched a few movies I enjoyed growing up.

Anyways today's card is the last birthday card for the month of January. I thought it would be fitting that I end the month of birthday cards with one for one of my very best friends. I will be back to making more birthday cards next month after my Valentine's Series (which will be starting next week). This was one of the Make it Now projects from the Cricut Design Space. I just changed the color of the flames and added some clear wink of Stella for a little sparkle.
Thanks so much for joining me and I will see you later. Oh one last thing I have Jury Duty on Wednesday so there may not be a What What Wednesday or To die for Friday video this week depending on how this goes.

To die for Friday - Birthday Card Series #1

Happy Friday all. I hope you have some wonderful big plans for the weekend. I am planning on doing as little as possible this weekend. I am also hoping to get some crafting done too. The week has gone by fast but still busy with the kids going back to school and having to get back to the normal routine. Lets get on to today's card. I know I said in my update video I as going to be starting a birthday card series. This is going to be the first card in that series. I know I have posted a birthday card a;ready and I will have another one going up on Monday but since those where filmed before my decision they are not going to be part of this new series. I really love how this card turned out. I used my zig clean color real brush markers to color these images.

I first die cut out some Bristol Smooth paper using Lawn Fawns Stitched Rectangle die. I then used the Mini Misti and a template I made to stamp everything out. I stamped everything use Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink which works great with not only copics but water too.The presents are from Lawn Fawn's Toboggan Together and masked it off. I took the cake stand from Lawn Fawn's Baked with Love stamp set and used it as a table. I masked that off and stamped out Edward from The Greeting Farm. Once everything was stamped out I grabbed my zig markers to start coloring. I used 071 Flesh Colour for his skin, 2 layers of 067 Mustard for his hair, 030 Blue for his vest and some shadowing on his pants, 034 Dull Blue for his shirt and the rest of his pants, 094 Gray Brown for his shoes. For the presents and table I used 029 Geranium Red, 070 Orange, 048 Emerald Green, 050 Yellow, 030 Blue and 091 Light Gray for the shadows. To add some detail I used at first my white gelly roll pen but then used my white Signo Broad pen.

I pulled the colors I used for this from the pattern paper I got from Doodlebugs 6x6 paper pad Sugar Shoppe. I trimmed the blue background to fit an A2 size top folding 110 lbs cardstock card base. I wanted a few rows of dots showing to I used the image panel to size up the second panel. I used my atg to glue everything in place. I then took the Everyday Sentiment Banner dies by Lawn Fawn and some green scrap of cardstock and added the Happy Birthday sentiment from Lawn Fawn Hats Off To You stamp set and stamped that with Jet Black ink.
For the inside of the card I just used a few of the scraps left over from the pattern paper and cut a flag end and attached them to the inside to finish off the card. After looking at this card it almost looks like it is a birthday portrait. This was not my intention when I made this card but I love that it turned out that way. Thank you all for going me and I will see you in my next post.

Cut it out Monday - Birthday Card for Mom

Hello everyone and happy Monday to you all. I hope you had a very relaxing weekend. I spend all day yesterday out and about with my family. It was so nice to get out of the house for a while after being stuck inside for a week. We still have tons of snow and my street is still covered in ice. Hubby took me to Benihana's for my birthday lunch/dinner. We also did some shopping while we where out. The air was nice and the sun was out and made everything look so pretty. Anyways on to today's project.

Now I know my mom has not gotten her card yet since we had so much snow we haven't had any mail pick up until Friday but I want to share it with you guys today anyways. I am thinking about starting a birthday card series using just the cricut. I will have to work that out first but I think it could be fun. Today's card was a make it now project and came with a envelope. I wanted this to be more of a pastel colored card since the weather here and where my mom lives has been to gray. I used some foam tape to give the banner some dimension.
I love how simple and easy this was to put together. It is just a beautiful card and I a hoping my mom loves it too. Thank you so much for joining me and have a great day.

What What Wednesday - First haul for 2017

Happy Wednesday all. I hope you are all staying warm (if its cold where you are). We have once again had another snow day but this time it is a legit snow day not this some snow and then ice which is what we have been having over the last few weeks. We got about 10 of snow by lunch time. It then stop snowing for a while then started up again about an hour or so ago. the kids have been happily playing in it and its the kind of snow that makes great snowballs. This was taken at about 9:30 am and the snow was up to my youngest ankles and still coming down.
Anyways today's post is a small haul. Just a few of the goodies have have gotten over the last week. I am hoping to start using more of what I have on had before buying anything else but I could not hold back for getting a few things (and when someone gives you a 50% off coupon for your birthday how do you  not buy your self a small gift). I hope you guys have a great rest of your Wednesday and I will see you back here Friday for another project.

Cut it out Monday - Thank You Card

Happy Monday all, and welcome to the first Cut it out Monday project o the new year. I am so excited to be back at crafting and on my Birthday too. I am always getting thank you cards from my son and his adopted family. Each person adds a little note thanking us for the gifts they have gotten from us. I always plan to send one back thanking them for the gifts they have give to the girls but never seem to do it. So this time I thought that since I can't share the other birthday videos yet (have to wait until they get their cards) I would make a thank you card to send to them.

This was a simple card to make. All I did was search through the images for a fun thank you image when I came across this fun card. I did have to resize it a bit (it was a very small image) to make it more of a standard A2 size card. This card also came with an envelope.
After changing the size of the card and envelope I headed over to my cardstock and picked out the different shades of blue for the card. I know here in the picture the lighter color cardstock looks more gray but its more of a blue/gray color and I thought it went well with this darker blue. I picked a stone gray color for the envelope and it a nice thick cardstock so it should hold up well in the mail. Once everything was cut out it was just a matter of putting it all together. I did cut out a second square of the blue/gray cardstock for the inside so I would have some place to write and it be seen. Now all that left to do is have my kids add their little thank you notes to the inside and mail this off.

Thank you all for joining me and I hope you all have a great rest of your Monday and I will see you all back here for another project.

What What Wednesday - My Two Plum Paper Planners & How I Use Them

     Welcome back everyone.

I hope you all had a safe and fun New Years. We didn't do much New Years Eve the kids where up at my parents. We did run a few errands that day but once we got home it was time for comfy clothes and a movie. We rang in the New Year playing Heads Up it was so much fun. New Years Day on the other hand was not fun. We headed up to Washington to meet my parents and get the kids but about 45 minutes away from where we where going to meet up we had a flat tire. The only thing that was bad about getting the flat (well in my opinion that day don't ask hubby how he felt about it) was that where we pulled over to check/change the tire it was snow and had been for a while. So getting on the ground was not an easy idea to want to do. But thankfully we had pulled over by a store and I slowly walked over (it was very slippery) to get hubby some gloves and a tarp to lay on or kneel on if needed. We also found out that we have a doughnut of a spare and not a full size tire which made the trip back home long and slow. I am really excited to be back to getting videos and projects made. It will be slow going as we get back into our school routine but still excited.

Anyways on to today's post the first one in the new year. I thought it would be fun to share with you guys how I keep myself (for the most part) organized. I am a list maker and have found that as my days get busier with the kids school stuff, after school stuff and hubby's stuff, if I don't write something down I forget. So I found that a planner worked well for me in being able to just have everything written down for everyone. I have been using a Plum Paper Planner for 2 years now. I did have some struggles at first but once I found planner peace I knew I would be sticking with it. I have two planners one for everyday things (me. kids hubby house that sort of thing) and then I have just a monthly one that I use for my crafting.

I thought it would be easiest to make a video and share both planners then to try and put it all out on here. Under the video I will have links to where I got the planner as well as my favorite places to by the stamps that I use in them and places I get my stickers and other fun planner related items. I am sorry it is so long but I wanted to really give you guys a good look at the planners.
