Roller Skate Birthday Party Invitations

My oldest daughter's birthday is coming up and she asked to have her party at the roller rink this year. So after figuring out how many kids we could have I told her that I would make the invitations for her to hand out. It did not take me look to come up with a cool invite.
I used an image from the Nifty Fifty Cricut Cartridge. There are no pictures this time because they have all gone out and I did not think about taking any, which for me is weird not to do.
Hope you enjoy and happy crafting

Just a note.

I thought that I would just drop a little note about why there have been no videos all of a sudden after having some done ( yes I know it has only been two card and a couple of hauls videos). After the craziness of the last one I decided to just take a minute and think about how I really want to go about this.
I am sure some of you have kids and some may not but for me my kids are just always trying to watch/help me make stuff, which I don't always mind but sometimes can be a pain. I have the time to make the videos but getting them edited and a voice over done while my 4 year old is around is hard to do. I know I can just explain what I am doing while making the card but my card always seem to take a long time and even though I like making them I don't want to them to me really long videos.

I am hoping to get back in to things next week. I want the weekend to really get a good since of how I want everything to go (in crafting and in the home). I need to be able to balance everything and I think I just tried doing to much to fast with out a planning (I am a planner) even though it sometimes does not look that way.

I hope that you all will hang in there with me. I look forward to making more cards and other crafty stuff. I want to Thank You for watching my videos and reading my blog.

Halloween Card #2

This card turned out better then it started. I was so stressed making this one and I hope I never have that feeling again. I started with a plan in my head, I am not the best drawer so I did not draw out my idea (maybe I should have). I wanted to use the medium ghost from Lawn Fawn's Happy Haunting stamp set to hold up a banner but when I could not get a reverse stamped image of the ghost so when I gave up on that idea that's where things started to fall part. But in the end the card turned out pretty good if I do say so myself.

I had some problems getting this to work and once I did I put the small tombstone down to far and could not get it unstuck so I left it as is.

Here is the list of everything I used:
Recollections cardstock - Black Grey, Green
Copic Markers - N2, N4, N6, N8, C1 or N0 (ghost but not sure which)
Fiskers - Grass Edge Punch
EK Success - Bats, 3/4 Circle Punch
Spellbinders Nested Tombstone - two biggest and two smallest
Lawn Fawn Happy Haunting Stamp Set
Doodlebug 6x6 Paper Pad - Halloween Parade
Memento Dew Drop Ink - Bamboo Leaves
Memento Ink - Tuxedo Black

I want to say sorry there is no voice over it was a little crazy trying to get this done and uploaded with the kids asking me a million questions.

Halloween Card #1

This is the first Halloween card in what I hope will be a long line of cards.
I used The Greeting Farm Stamp Sweet & Toxic. Stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink & I colored her in with my copic markers. I used The paper I used is from  DCWV  The Spooky Time Stack 6x6 pad and that is where the rest of the paper is from as well. I cut her & the inside white cardstock out using the Spellbinders Nestabilites Labels 4 Small (the largest one that would fit around her) used Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 4 Large (the largest in that set I believe. There are 3 different Labels 4 dies) to cut out the skull background behind her and the polka dot one for the inside.
For her skin I used E000, E00, E02.
For her hair I used N0, N2, N4, N6, N8.
For her dress & stocking I used V25 & BV08 & for her shoes I used N2 N4, N6.
I paper pieced her bows using the same polka dot paper as the background.
I used a white gel pen for her clips and Icicles stickles for the bottom of her dress
I used Prima Flowers to help fill in the empty space. I just held them in with an orange brad I had in my stash.
This is a Lawn Fawn stamp from the Trick or Treat clear stamp set. I stamped it on recollections white paper using Memento Tuxedo Black. I then cut it out using the Spellbinders Standard Circles Large dies. I then used Distress Ink Dusty Concord to tie it into the card. I added some recollection Jewels for just a little something.
I took the stamp and got a third generation to get this soft image of her for the inside. I added the Happy Halloween ribbon to the bottom as my sentiment.

I really enjoyed making this card and I look forward to hearing your thoughts and comments on this video. Happy Crafting

A Birthday Card For My Sister

I made these card at the end of June 2013 for my sisters birthday. She really likes Grumpy Dwarf so I thought I would go that route when I decided to make her a card.

I used the Disney Happily Ever After cricut cartridge. I used Snow Whites wishing well for the front. I then added some flowers, so it would look more like the well in the movie (these are cherry blossoms, they are to closes I had). I then used stickles to look like water in the well. I forget which font I used but I used my cricut to cut these out then just used my Memory Keepers 1/2 inch corner rounder and added some pearl like flowers for the corners just for a little something.

I cut out Grumpy at 2 inches leaving enough room for the letters. I cut the letters out and used to empty space left from cutting them out to line them up. I used pop dots to stick Grumpy on (I was planning on hand delivering this). Then I just add a few jewels for just a little more sparkle on the inside.

Small Joann's Haul

Hi everyone. So I decided that I wanted to try and find a tri-pod to film but it needed to work with my flip. I got a small table top tri-pod at Target the other day on clearance and it works OK so far. It took me a little while to find just the right spot so I would not knock it over and so you can still see what is going on. Not sure if this will work for the long term but for not it is just fine. I really like the tri-pod it's universal so it will work with my camera too so not taking pictures of what I make will be that much easier. I think though at some point I am going to have to get a video camera with a auto focus which the flip (or at least my model) does not have.
So to test out the location of my camera I thought I would do a small haul from Joann's. Just some stuff to help me get started with my Halloween card and stuff like that. I maybe having another haul soon, I have a store credit that I used, but I am going to try and put some videos of me making stuff now that I have an easier way of video. So you wont see just haul videos.
Enjoy and Happy Crafting

There are not going to be  any links to anything with this video as I got it all at a Joann's store,

Dungeon Master Screen part 1

Welcome to my blog.

Hello and welcome to my blog. I thought I would start off sharing a little bit about myself and what this blog is all about. So lets get started.

My name is Niki. I am married and we have 2 beautiful girls. We live in the great wet northwest. I started scrapbooking back in Jr. High school nothing big just all the picture that I would get when school was over for the year. But I really got into it after I had my son, I was 20 and knew that I could not care for him the way he need so I placed him up for adoption. I do get to see him at least twice a year and his adopted family is amazing could not have asked for a better. So with all the pictures and letters I knew I wanted to keep them around so I could always look back on them to see how he has grown. I now not only have one going for him but I have one going for both my girls, one for myself (pictures my mom took when I was little) and soon to be two for my husband (one for his high school trip to Ireland and one for his Navy days). I even have one for our wedding but have not started it yet.

I also do a little cross stitch (something my mom got me into) even though I have not worked on it in a long while. I did pick up crocheting thanks to my sister, I find this is easier to do with my youngest wanting to always see what I am working on. I have most recently started making party decorations for others. It all started with my good friend Kristina's son birthday. He wanted a cowboy themed party and I offered to make the party invitations for her. So after hours of trying to find something premade I came across a picture of a saloon door and thought that would be perfect. So I printed it out and turned it into a template, once that was done the card came together perfectly. I also made him a sheriff badge as well as some deputy ones too. After that I relived that this was what I wanted to do more of. She then asked me to help with her 30th birthday last year and she want to have a high tea. So with the help of my cricut I helped make some party decorations along with party favors, I did also help her with the food and setup.

So I thought what better way to share my ideas and creativity. My life can sometimes become crazy and stress full and for me locking myself in my craft room listening to music or a movie while I make something is the best way to unwind. I love seeing the looks on peoples faces when I tell them that I made that or hearing their comments about how great something looks. I do hope to one day be able to sell my items and who knows maybe this blog will be the thing that starts that. But for now I am just glad to be able to help inspire other people that they have inspired me. So please feel free to subscribe to this blog and my other links if you want to see more. I plan to share my creations and maybe a little bit of what is going on in my life. I plan to post as often as I can but you never know what life might bring me.
Have a Creative Day
